Harrison Jones
President of Nevada FBLA

Harrison Jones is honored to be representing Spring Creek High School FBLA as the State President of Nevada FBLA. He will be a Senior in the 2018-2019 school year and will be starting his fifth year as a member of FBLA. He served as the FBLA treasurer for two consecutive years in his local chapter, and as the Eastern Region Vice President of Nevada FBLA. He has attended nationals in multiple events in his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years. Harrison has a deeply rooted love for FBLA, and for business in general. He has received many awards in academics and FBLA to date, including the completion of his Future, Business, and Leader BAA’s. Besides FBLA, Harrison enjoys staying up to date with current events and politics, spending time with friends, playing Xbox One, and watching Doctor Who, his favorite TV show. He greatly values his family, his faith, and his friends, as he would not be where he is today without all of them. After High School, Harrison intends to serve an LDS mission. Afterward, he plans to attend the University of Nevada-Las Vegas to obtain a degree in Hospitality Marketing. Harrison hopes to work his way up in a major hospitality corporation, such as Marriott or Caesar’s Entertainment. He is excited for the opportunity to represent Nevada FBLA, and will greatly treasure all of connections he will make in the coming year. If anything can help shape Harrison into the Future Business Leader he hopes to be, it is Future Business Leaders of America.


Jennifer Glezen
Vice President of Membership

Hailing from the “City of Lights”, Jennifer Glezen is a senior from Edward W. Clark High School and is delighted to represent Nevada FBLA as the 2018-2019 Nevada FBLA Vice President of Membership. Jennifer has been a dedicated member since her freshman year, making this her fourth year of membership. Before becoming a Nevada FBLA state officer, Jennifer was very dedicated towards her local FBLA chapter serving as the chapter vice president in her sophomore year and chapter president in her junior year, growing her local chapter over 30 members during her presidency. She has completed the Future, Business, and Leader Level of the Business Achievement Awards and has competed at Nationals since her freshman year. Jennifer’s passion in FBLA stems from her love of meeting new people and making new connections.

With the skill set that FBLA has instilled in her, Jennifer plans to continue her journey by obtaining an undergraduate dual degree in business administration and psychology. After college, she plans to either rise the ranks of a technology company in Silicon Valley or return home and start up a new business in Las Vegas.

Outside of FBLA, Jennifer is also involved in DECA, National Honor Society, her school’s tennis team, and the Angel Heart Foundation, which is a community service organization she co-founded with her brother.

Jennifer is very excited to work with this year’s state officer team to achieve new heights in FBLA through positive energy and dedication.


Shailee Anderson
Eastern Region Vice President

Shailee Anderson attends Spring Creek High School as a senior. She is Nevada FBLA’sEastern Region Vice President. She is silly, loud, and very wild! She has been in FBLA for 4 years, starting in 8th grade. Shailee placed in all of her events at the SBLC conference, including a first place award towards her local chapter scrapbook. She plans to attend a college in Utah and a speciality school involving orthodontics. She wants to become an orthodontist because she loves to show off her smile and believes that everyone should have a chance to show off their perfect smile as well. Shailee is the oldest of five siblings in her seven member family, and is a very active participant in her community. She volunteers at F.I.S.H and visits the manor monthly, while doing hosted events such as Boy Scouts, Golf tournaments and various bake sales. Shailee loves to be outdoors in nature. Her favorite activities involve her love to ski in the winter and boating in the summer. Shailee considers herself a star at whatever she does,even if it doesn’t turn out like she planned. Shailee is a very optimistic individual who loves to look to the future as inspiration in everything she does. She wants to become an inspiration for her younger siblings and the entire Nevada FBLA to show that all you have to do to succeed is to work hard and never stop trying.


Jakob Beach
Northern Region Vice President

Jakob Beach feels honored to be serving as the Northern Region Vice President of Nevada FBLA this year. He is proud to be representing both the city of Reno and Reno High School. Jakob will be a senior during the 2018-2019 school year and has been a member of FBLA for the past three years. He previously served as his chapter’s President during the 2017-2018 school year. During Freshman year Jakob competed nationally in Atlanta, Georgia for Computer Applications after placing first place in the state. He has been awarded a total of four state 1st places during his time in FBLA, the most recent being in Digital Video Production at this year’s state conference. Along with his FBLA awards, Jakob has received many awards in academics, including being inducted into the Sage Chapter of the National Honors Society. He is currently a Boy Scout in Troop 4 in Reno and is working hards towards his receiving the rank of Eagle Scout. Jakob enjoys the outdoors and spends most of his free time camping. After graduating from High School he hopes to attend the University of Nevada and obtain a degree in Computer Science. He credits FBLA for his public speaking, leadership and improvisational skills.

Jakob is very eager and enthusiastic to represent the Northern Region of Nevada FBLA this year. He hopes he can help FBLA grow and prosper the same way it has helped him grow and prosper.

Michala Matovina
Vice President of Service

Hailing from the rambunctious city of Las Vegas, there is nothing Aaron Cheng is more ecstatic to partake in than to serve the members of FBLA to his fullest potential. When he’s not busy volunteering at the hospital or studying for his next exam, he spends his free time binge watching How I Met Your Mother and Grey’s Anatomy.

As a junior majoring in business management at Advanced Technologies Academy, Aaron loves participating in leadership activities and local charity events to further his skill in leadership while developing much needed personal skills.

Sometimes, when Aaron just wants to take a break from his primary responsibilities, he enjoys taking some time to relax and listen to music. Call him a simp, but his favorite artists include Luke Bryan, Shawn Mendes, and Ed Sheeran.

This upcoming year, Aaron aims to connect the members of FBLA together and eliminate the physical distance between northern and southern Nevada by serving as a liaison between the two clearly distinct areas.

Ever since FBLA state, Aaron has felt gracious to have been given the opportunity to give back to the organization that has given him so much. Having served as President of his school Interact and Rotary International club, Aaron is ready to take the next step in developing his leadership skills and plans on giving his 110% to these next twelve months as your 2017-2018 Nevada FLBA State Vice President of Service.


Ariana Virella
Vice President of Public Relations

Ariana Virella, an upcoming senior at West Career and Technical Academy is honored to be serving as your new Vice President of Public Relations for the upcoming 2018-2019 year. She has been a diligent and dedicated member of FBLA for three years going on four. Although a general member for two years, most recently, in her junior year, she served as her Chapter Vice President of Media and Public Relations. Through FBLA, Ariana has developed new friendships and has strengthened existing friendships. She has performed and placed in multiple events at the state level, and has also competed at the National Leadership Conference. FBLA has helped Ariana become a more well rounded individual and has prepared her for a role as a new state officer. As a result of her studies in the Business Management program at West CTA, and participation in FBLA, Ariana has acquired additional knowledge and skills to greater enhance her ability to succeed in life after high school.

Ariana acknowledges the importance and contribution FBLA has had on her, and she hopes to major and obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in Business Management, at a college outside the state of Nevada. From this degree, Ariana hopes to become an Athletic Trainer for a professional sports team; and/or become an entrepreneur by starting up her own physical therapy business.

Ariana is ecstatic to start her new term as a state officer and is excited for the possibilities it will bring!


Jefrin Jojan
Vice President of Media

Jefrin Jojan is a junior from Advanced Technologies Academy and is honored to serving Nevada FBLA as Vice President of Media. He has been a member of FBLA for two years asserved as his chapter’s Head of Sales, also during SBLC he placed in Impromptu Speaking, Entrepreneurship and Securities. Jefrin loves the valuable skills FBLA teaches along with the many opportunities offered.

Aside from FBLA, he is involved in other clubs such as National Honor Society, Speech and Debate, Model UN. In his free time Jefrin likes to play video games or program apps. His favourite music is listen is to Country or Rock.

Drawing inspiration from FBLA Jefrin hopes to pursue a degree in Business and Computer Science from a UC College. After college Jefrin hopes to pursue a career in the technology sector and hopefully start his own business. Jefrin is excited to lead and create as Vice President of Media for the 2018-2019 year,
